Join us around our butcher block for a cheese and charcuterie tasting! Our patés are made in house using only the finest meats. Our chefs create unique flavor profiles that will add life to any meat or cheese plate. Along with our chefs, you'll get a chance to meet our cheesemongers and learn about charcuterie/cheese pairings. This is a great opportunity to try out our unique offerings here at Savenor's!

Join our monthly meat share and enjoy three weeks of meat! To utilize the whole animal, you will take home not only fresh meat, but stocks/fats/charcuterie all made in house at Savenor's.
Our May meat share is Berkshire Pork from Heritage Grazers in Bridport, VT. We will host a breakdown demo on Saturday, May 9th / 2PM with share pickups following the event.

La Peetch is an intimate monthly prix fixe private dinner for eight guests, centered around the heart of our store: the butcher’s block. It is inspired by Julia and Paul Child who hosted many small parties at their Provencal cottage, La Pitchoune, for an acclaimed crowd, including James Beard and MFK Fisher. We endeavor to recreate that same communal, cozy dinner with the La Peetch series.​

Our Boston store is looking for a new Cheesemonger!

Responsible for cheese and dairy purchasing, presentation and curation/rotation.

Responsibilities:

- Purchasing and maintaining inventory with consideration of sales and budget

- Cutting, wrapping and labeling of cheese products

- Pricing, stocking and rotation of dairy products

- Observe sanitation practices and procedures in accordance with serve safe standards

- Maintaining a clean and safe work area

Requirements:

- Love of cheese!

- Working knowledge of domestic and international cheeses

- Passion and interest in food trends

- Willingness to self-educate about cheese and things cheese related

- Excellent customer service skills

- Attention to detail

- Organization, Creativity and Self-Motivation

- Full time position with flexible scheduling that includes working on Saturdays

Additional Information:

- Serve Safe Certification a plus

- Experience in a specialty/gourmet food retail

- Interest in social media is a plus!

- Starting wage $14/hr
